Christmas in Tulsa!

What a fabulous time we had celebrating Christmas in Tulsa. It was a big Lightning McQueen Christmas for Carter who is officially obsessed with Cars even though he has only seen the movie 1 time! Jack was in heaven with all of his balls and any toys he could get his hands on before Carter took possession of them. They both were adorable and entertaining as they loved each and everything they received. Thanks to all who made it such a wonderful Christmas.Carter putting his ornament on the tree on Christmas Eve.

Carter got a Lightning McQueen bike & helmet...don't think we'll ever get him off of it!

Jack with all smiles

Carter loved his "Uncle Kylie" time. At one point he came into the kitchen to tell me: "Mom - I'm playing ping pong with Uncle Kylie...mom, its a special treat to play with Uncle Kylie!" Priceless.

Jack hanging with Holland..these two are so cute together. Only 3 weeks apart, I'm sure they will have more than a few pics together through the years!

Dancing Bears and more

We ventured Uptown to see the display of the dancing & singing Christmas bears who are on display in the building where Mark works. They were darling and it was neat to see all the decorations etc. Jack found a huge xmas tree with so many fun balls!
Then we ventured up to Dad's office for the first time for all of us to get to see where he spends all those hours every day. Carter decided he needed to get some "work" done as well. He's a natural!

Jack's New Chair!

Brr...it's cold out!

Unfortunately, we have had record lows this winter. We have already had to break out the hats...when last year, I think Carter wore a hat two times all winter. We have been mostly staying inside, but ventured out one morning for a few minutes while the sun was shining. This is what we spend our days/nights doing when we can't go outside! What great "helpers" mom has!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

We started putting up decorations for Christmas and the kids are so enjoying Zart, our Elf on the Shelf. They both love trying to spot him each morning. Jack walks around and pauses to point and wave at him at least 10 times daily. Carter has already asked Zart politely to bring him a Dinoco helicopter and a Mack truck. He has told Zart that Jack wants an orangutan and chimpanzee. We are not sure why Jack wants those, except that he is rather fond of monkeys as he sleeps with one and he can make their sound when you ask him "What does a monkey say?" Jack loudly answers with a "oo-oo-oo-ee-ee-ee"! I'll try to get a picture of our beloved Zart soon.I love having our family of stockings hung by the chimney!

Jack is 1

To celebrate Jack's 1st birthday, we had a small party at our house with all of the neighborhood buddies. The weather was perfect, so the kids had fun running around in the back yard. Then everyone came inside to eat cake and ice cream. Jack loved the singing, but wasn't sure about the rest. He dabbled into the cake, but didn't really take an interest in it too much. Jack was not a fan of the birthday hats!Carter Enjoying the party!
